I’ve been reading some interviews conducted by a certain e-commerce solutions provider on some of its more successful merchants and I found it to be quite an eye opener. It’s not like other interviews where they only paint smiley faces and none of the frowns that come with the territory.
So far I’ve been looking at the idea of my running very own home based small business venture through rose tinted glasses but a few of the replies I read managed to get some bird poo on my shades. It’s not a hurdle that cannot be overcome. It’s just something you have to consider and plan for.
I’ve written in to get permission to reproduce the interviews in parts so I can can touch on and eleborate further on some of the more interesting issues like going it alone, expansion, finance, marketing and holding stock. So hopefully in a couple of days time I’ll have some first hand views and experience on the trials and tribulations of running your very home based small business.
